Beginner Salsa (Level 1)

This class is for the absolute beginner, with no previous Salsa experience! You will learn all the necessary fundamentals to help get you onto the dance floor.

Beginner/Intermediate Salsa (Level 2)

This class is a stepping stone between a beginner and intermediate dancer. Once you start this program you will be hooked! You will learn the fundamental rules of beginning salsa which will help you lay the groundwork for a lifetime of dance enjoyment!

Intermediate/Advanced Salsa (Level 3)

Take your dancing to the next level. This class will transform you into a technically sound dancer. Students stay in this level until prompted to move up to an Advanced level by the instructor. Minimum of 1 course in Salsa Level 2 required, or instructor approval.

Reggaeton

Reggaeton's origins come from Panama and Puerto Rico fusing modern hip hop/dance hall movement with latino rhythms and loads of sexy style. With it's popularity rapidly on the rise worldwide, you won't want to miss out on this captivating craze guaranteed to make your hips shake! This class has a strong focus on body isolations, increasing movement and flexibility through a combination of hot and sexy energetic routines. Bring the Reggaeton sabor into your dancing no matter what style of latin dance.......Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, etc. No partner is required; beginners and first-timers are welcome. Bring comfortable exercise wear, something that won't limit your range of motion. Bring towel and water because this class is guaranteed to make you sweat!

Junior Training Team (Salsa Level 3/4)

The objective of this class is to give students the opportunity to continue learning new turn patterns, footwork, and styling while at the same time taking their dancing to the next level through training a choreographed routine. Along with all the benefits of a regular group class you will get exposure to concepts not usually offered in similar classes of this level. The training will be carried out in low pressure, fun environment with the performance aspect of the class being completely optional to the student. So even if you choose not to perfrom you still come away with improved skills, turn patterns , footwork, and styling to apply to your social dancing! Having taken level 3 or 4 Salsa is NOT a prerequisite for this class; nor is having previous N.Y. style "On 2" Salsa experience. Advanced Salsa (Level 4)

Intense, Intense, Intense! This class is designed for students with a very strong salsa foundation. It is meant to help social dancers and performers alike stay challenged throughout the year. It also includes performance opportunities for the die-hard salseros and salseras.

Ladies Styling

Designed just for Ladies! Ladies Styling classes are all about how to look sizzling hot on the dance floor, without affecting the lead of your partner. Don't know what to do with your arms while turning? Unsure about when and how to sway your hips? Are you lost when your partner breaks away to do footwork during a dance? Covering moves from beginner to advanced, these classes are perfect for those who want to add a touch of elegance and playfulness to their dance.

Performance Program

We offer several programs; Mambo Productions Professional Team, Amateur Team, & Junior Training Team. These programs are designed for hard-working, talented and dedicated dancers who feel passion for Latin music & dance. Dancers train all year long with the purpose of performing/competing on stage.

Note: YWCA's parking lot can be accessed from either 5th Ave. (east-bound one way) or 4th Ave. (west-bound one way). Additional parking is available at meters around the area (free after 6pm) or in the public lot directly across the street (north side of 4th Ave) for $2 after 6pm.
